The Sculpture Garden

Open all year round! Enjoy a peaceful moment alone or a family get-together.

Over two acres the gardens accommodate more than twenty-five sculptures! Thirteen were created in an international Stone Carving Symposium held at Maungati in South Canterbury in 1990.

These sculptures are made of Mt Somers stone, a fine white limestone – quarried from Vincent Lime Quarry. The finished sculptures were gifted to NZ, and our Sculpture Garden was the chosen site for their ongoing display.
