Seismic Strengthening and Restoration
Our objective is to seismically strengthen and reinstate the Heritage House Gallery – ensuring the exceptional heritage features of the historical building are preserved and national and international standards are met.
This project includes the installation of specialist LED exhibition lighting, a HVAC system for climate control, and a fire suppression system. Furthermore, reinstating several heritage features including ceiling roses and heritage light fittings, fire registers and surrounds, the original kitchen and scullery, in addition to the original upstairs bathroom.
Once complete, Timaru will be reunited with its beloved House Gallery, now preserved for future generations. A tremendous thank you to our community, sponsors and funders.
